About 2Klub Lives
Stories, sounds, and snapshots from an underground hard house movement (1999–2001).
What is 2Klub Lives?
2Klub Lives is a living archive of an underground hard house club called 2Klub, which ran across Manchester and Birmingham, UK between 1999–2001. This site preserves the energy, people, and music of those nights—through first‑person stories, photos, flyers, mixes, and the voices of the DJs and clubbers who made it all happen.
Why this project exists
Club culture is fleeting by design. Lights go up, the track fades, the moment is gone. We built 2Klub Lives so those moments don’t disappear. If you were there, you’ll find familiar faces and forgotten details. If you weren’t, you’ll get a visceral sense of what hard house meant to a generation: fast, joyous, and defiantly DIY.
What you’ll find here
- Stories: Personal accounts from the floor, the queue, the afters, and the long train home.
- Music & DJs: Tracklists, mixes, interviews, and profiles of the residents and guests.
- Galleries: Photos and flyers from the era—warts, wide‑angles, and all.
- Newsletters: Project updates, new drops, and calls for contributions.
- Community: A place to reconnect with the people who made 2Klub what it was.

Who’s behind this
2Klub Lives is curated by former clubbers, promoters, and friends of the scene—people who were there and kept the boxes of tapes, DATs, negatives, and memories. We’re not a brand; we’re an archive made by the crowd it documents.
